Absolutely stunning portrait. Very old oil on stretched canvas. Hard edged with nail head trim. You can even see remnants of old antique newsprint. From the colors ( her persimmon lips!) to composition, the whole thing is a masterpiece in our eyes. There is somewhere to the canvas as shown, but we don’t think that detracts whatsoever.
